5-Acre Cedar Clearing in Dripping Springs

A homeowner purchased raw acreage for a custom home build. The lot was choked with 15 years of cedar growth — some trunks over 8 inches. We forestry-mulched 5 acres, selectively preserved 12 mature live oaks and 3 pecans, and left the site mulched and graded for the home builder to start foundation work.

Commercial Lot Clearing — Highway 290 West

Scope: 3-acre commercial site, full clearing, SWPPP compliance, rough grading for pad siteTimeline: 6 days

Site prep for a retail development off Highway 290. We cleared 3 acres of mixed brush and timber, installed silt fencing for erosion control per SWPPP requirements, and rough-graded the building pad and parking area. Coordinated directly with the civil engineer and general contractor throughout.

Steiner Ranch Backyard Reclamation

The homeowners hadn't touched the back portion of their lot in a decade. Cedar, hackberry, and invasive privet had completely taken over. We cleared the brush, ground 18 stumps, and finish-graded the area so they could finally install a fence and let the kids use the yard.

Subdivision Lot Prep — Bee Cave

Cleared and graded 8 half-acre residential lots for a custom home builder. Each lot required a heritage tree survey and selective clearing plan per City of Bee Cave requirements. We preserved all protected trees, cleared build envelopes, and graded each pad to the civil engineer's specifications.

Rural Firebreak & Maintenance — Wimberley

A ranch owner outside Wimberley needed defensible space after the wildfire scares. We cleared a 30-foot firebreak around the full 12-acre perimeter, cleaned up 800 feet of overgrown fence line, and set up a quarterly maintenance program to keep cedar regrowth in check.

East Austin Infill Lot — Site Prep for Duplex

Scope: 0.15-acre lot, demolition coordination, clearing, grading, utility markingTimeline: 3 days

A small infill lot in East Austin needed full site prep for a new duplex build. We removed 6 trees (none protected), cleared brush and old fencing, coordinated with the demolition crew on the existing structure, and graded the lot to building pad specifications. Tight site with neighbor coordination required — no issues.
